Enquiries and Contact

Whether you've spotted a painting you like, have your eye on a handmade wooden bowl or want to discuss something a little more personal, I'd love to hear from you.

I'm Roger Taylor, a self-taught artist and woodcraft enthusiast based at Coryates Studio in South Dorset. I create original watercolour paintings, turned wooden pieces and hand-carved items - each with its own individual character.

Making an enquiry

From a question about a watercolour to a wooden gift enquiry, I'd love to talk to you. And if you have something specific in mind, we can talk about that too. Some things that would be useful to know include:

  • What you're interested in (such as a painting, wooden item or something else).

  • Photos or references (especially if you're planning something personal).

  • Size (if you have a custom piece in mind).

  • Budget

  • Occasion

  • Timescale

Don't worry if you're not sure of the finer details. An initial conversation is a great place to start, and we can figure things out from there.

Prices, collection and delivery

You can see examples of costs for my existing pieces in my Watercolour and Wood galleries.

You may be wondering why I don't sell directly online, but I have my reasons! I prefer customers to see the quality of my work for themselves. You're welcome to arrange a visit to the studio for a chat and to see my work in person. You can also collect your work from me.

If you can't make it to my South Dorset studio, we can discuss delivery and any associated costs.

FAQs

Can I visit you without an appointment?

I'd love for you to pop in! If you're passing and the sign is out, feel free to knock. I might even make you a cuppa! But otherwise, it's best to phone or email ahead so I know you're coming.

How do I care for my painting or wooden piece?

The right care will ensure your piece lasts and lasts. Watercolours are best displayed away from direct sunlight and damp conditions to help protect the colours and surface.

Your wooden pieces, meanwhile, should be kept away from areas of prolonged moisture and extreme heat. The aftercare will depend on the timber, finish and use of the piece. I'll take you through the aftercare to ensure you get the most from it.
